About

Influence Haus is led by Christian Moritz and Karl Berkoben. Christian has had 20 years of marketing communications experience with large public corporations, nonprofits, small businesses, trade associations, and startups. He leverages dynamic market conditions to provide thoughtful leadership that positively impacts an organization’s development, profit, and influence. As a leader, Christian thrives in complex, challenging scenarios that require rapid problem identification, structuring, decision-making, and resolution. He has a proven track record in delivering strategic counsel and operational support to CEOs, presidents, and executive-level marketing professionals. He is a proactive, hands-on manager who is focused on strategic development and flawless execution.
Christian began his career at Tripp Umbach, a leader in advanced B2B research and strategy. After completing his M.B.A., he spent several years at Coors Brewing in Golden, Colo. There, he increased the efficiency of consumer media and promotion spending. Next, Christian spent six years at Heinz in his native Pittsburgh — leading numerous advertising, promotions, packaging, and new product launches for the Ore-Ida, Poppers, and Bagel Bites brands. At AOL, Christian executed a segmentation plan driving a measurable increase in relevancy, usage, and direct response. At PepsiCo, Christian leveraged consumer insight to develop innovative MLB and NASCAR retail programs. Additionally, he managed radio advertising for all PepsiCo brands across 170 East Coast radio and TV stations, and supervised a staff of 10.
At the National Association of Manufacturers, he led the development of new branding, website, social media, advertising, and marketing. The work resulted in five design awards. He also directed viral grassroots issue advocacy campaigns for public policy issues, such as health care, energy, climate, labor, taxation, infrastructure, and free-trade agreements for multiple nonprofit trade associations and small businesses in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
Christian received his B.A. in Marketing from Westminster College, where he was recruited to play Division III football. He then earned his M.B.A. in Marketing Management from the University of Pittsburgh. Christian has been a featured speaker at media events, industry seminars, educational institutions, corporate events, and strategy retreats. He resides in Washington, D.C., and is active in cycling, snow sports, hockey, politics, travel, and fantasy football.
